Sorensen's welcome's you to enjoy quiet, peaceful surroundings. Clean cosy lake front cottages and chaded campsites. Bald eagles, loons and other wildlife can be seen around the 950 acre lake. Elk, deer, and black bear inhabit the state forest land surrounding the campground. Golf courses and swiming beaches nearby. Sorensens's Grass Lake Resort has been providing a peaceful camping experience since 1965.
Hunting and Fishing:
For the fisherman, there are excellent catches of northern pike, large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, perch, sunfish, and rock bass. For the hunter, we are surrounded by thousans of acres of state owned land that are inhabited by whitetail deer, elk, black bear, various small game, waterfowl and upland game birds.
Wildlife to watch:
Bald egles and loons nest here, as well as ducks and geese, and deer are often seen along the shore. We only ask that watch them from a distance, so they will continue to live here undisturbed.

While staying with us, you may want to golf at Thunder BAy Resort in Hillman, Elk Ridge in Atlanta, Garland in Lewiston or other area courses. A day on Mackinac Island can be enjoyable; and the casinos in St. Ignace, Sault Ste. Marie and Leelanau are just a few hours away. There are movie theatres in Hillman and Alpena and bowling in Alpena and Lewiston. Lighthouses and museums along the Lake Huron shore feature some of the history of the area.
